Canadian Values

Canada is a place full of love and acceptance for everyone. Love, fairness, democracy, economic security, safety, sustainability, diversity, and more. Not many people around the world can say their home is full of love and fairness, but Canada treats everyone fairly with no excuses of sexism, racism, and terrorism. Canada keeps healthcare free for anyone in need which has saved so many people’s lives. I have lived in canada for my whole life and not once have I thought about moving. This Country is such a safe place for people to live in . Image result for canadaImage result for canada goose
Over many years immigrants have been welcomed to this country with open arms. Also, Canada holds amazing sports that everyone can play. Canadians are not only awesome at sports but we have many gold medals in winter olympics. Canada is a amazing place no wonder many people move here from around the world.

Ancestry

My family heritage has shaped who I am in my personality, and beliefs. Both sides of my family have helped me find who I am.

On both sides of the family the Grandmothers are both French Canadian from northern Ontario, and the Grandfathers are both from England. My Grandpa, who grew up in England ended up carrying the Queen’s crown when a huge festival was happening. After the festival my Grandpa ended up being good friends with the Queen, and stays in touch with her till this day. My Grandpa moved to Canada at 17 years old with a friend, and started their own business as welders while on my Nana’s side my grand Pepere (Great Grandfather) was lumberjacks for his whole life and loves it so much.

Another crazy thing about my background is that my Great Grandparents had 13 kids, and on the other side they had 10. My Great Grandma was a wealthy women with royalty in her blood, but later on left all that behind to marry my Great Grandfather. She had to move away from her family because what she did was seen as a disgrace to the family and was not tolerated.

There is actually a book because of all the crazy and interesting facts that are within my ancestry

My parents also have the same last name, and have never been married. They got tests done to see if they were anyway related to one another, but ended up with no connections.

My great grandpa fought in the war since he was 18 years old died when he was 64, and also suffered from loss of hearing because of the war.

Savory English foodsImage result for england food
England is not just a beautiful place to live, or to visit, but the foods that come with the culture of England is just as perfect. English folk take their culture very seriously which means food is no joke when it comes to holidays, and celebrating. Many dishes that are from England are now shared all around the world, for example fish and chips. My Grandfather, who is from England is such a fan of English everything. When he came to Canada to live with my family he brought over a new culture I have never experienced. The foods my family and I got to try for holidays were amazing. Bedfordshire Clanger Bangers, Chicken Tikka Masala Cobbler, Black Peas; and Pork Pies. When people think of England they think about Tea, and that is totally correct. Every Sunday night my family now has tea hour. Tea hour is when we eat Bread and Butter pudding with our teas. Almost every English folk will have tea hour. The culture in England is based around foods, and teas with your family. A bit of history is when the Frankish Normans invaded they brought over spices from the east. Which lead to inventing new foods, and tastes. England is a wonderful place to begin with, but when it comes to the food it only gets better.
