Canadian Values

We as Canadians value many things such as healthcare,  education, and equal opportunity.  Many other countries value money and power over these things.  Many canadians do value money and power above healthcare, education,  equal opportunity but Canada as a whole nation has free healthcare and education and we also sponsor immigrants to come to Canada and begin new lives with opportunity.  

In canada the government taxes the rich a higher percentage than the poor this not only slightly equals the playing field for many people but also gives us money to fund our education and healthcare.  

Free healthcare in my opinion is one of the best things about canada because it allows people who would otherwise be unable to afford healthcare in other countries (like the states) to go see a doctor.  Canada’s education system is top ten in the world and allows all students whether they have learning disabilities or not to thrive as students.  Equal opportunity is shown throughout Canada for example in 2016 the government passed a bill to offer grants to pay for the tuition of kids who have a household income of less than $50,000,  this allowing even kids whose parents can’t afford a higher education to go to university.   In conclusion Canada allows for any person to have an equal opportunity whether it’s in education, immigration, or health care.
