My family consists of ancestors from Scotland. My grandmother on my mothers side came from Scotland and my grandfather is from Canada born and raised. On my fathers side my grandparents are both from Scotland. My grandfather on my dads side was actually born inside a castle but was disguised as a hospital. As goes for my great grandparents my great grandmother just recently passed away. I have scottish relatives in scotland currently like my great aunt. I have another great aunt on my moms side and she lives in Canada but is from scotland like my grandmother is. Scottish tradition does not however really affect my life although I would enjoy taking a trip their sometime. My ancestors came over to Canada in a boat because they were trying to start a new and better life for themselves and their kids. They came over to Canada in 1969. My dad was born in 1974 and my mom was born in 1976. One way however Scottish tradition and culture has affected my life is that on multiple occasions I have worn a kilt. I wore one to my uncles wedding and also to my very own grade eight graduation. My mom also plays the bagpipes. She learned from her grandpa. She used to play them in the Lorne Scots pipe band.
